Acceptance Letters!!!
Seniors if you have been accepted to a university (or universities) we want to celebrate with you! Come and bring your acceptance letter to the guidance office so we can make a copy of it! Ms. Springer will be using them for a project later on in the year!!

Schedule Changes
**Students the last day to get your schedule changed for the second nine weeks is Monday, October 20, 2014. Please note that after Monday you will no longer be able to change your schedule.
**For spring semester schedule changes, you may come to the counselor's office starting in December to discuss potential second semester changes.

We've Got Mail!
Students if you come into the counselor's office and we are unable to meet with you immediately, please leave us a note in our mailbox. The mailbox is located right outside of our conference room. We check our mailbox frequently throughout the day. Once we get your note we will send you a slip to class that will allow you to come and see us!

Scholarship Opportunity
Horatio Alger Mississippi Scholarship Program
-$7,000 Scholarships Awarded to 5 Mississippi students
-Funded through the generosity of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation
- 5 are guaranteed to Mississippi students
The Horatio Alger Mississippi Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students in the State of Mississippi who have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity and who aspire to pursue higher education. The deadline is October 25, 2014.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger Mississippi Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be enrolled full time as a high school senior in Mississippi; be progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer of 2015 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation
• Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States (students may start their studies at a two-year institution and then transfer to a four-year institution)
